The international conference RailTokyo 2015 is the major event for scientific exchange on operations research for railway systems. The conference is organized by the International Association of Railway Operations Research (IAROR) every two years. This time, it was held at Tsudanuma Campus of the Chiba Institute of Technology on March 23-26, 2015. The conference has been strongly supported by the Research Campus MODAL RailLab with two papers, two presentations, and one tutorial lecture. The paper "Recent Success Stories on Optimization of Railway Systems: Rolling Stock Rotation Optimization" by Ralf Borndörfer, Torsten Klug, Leonardo Lamorgese, Carlo Mannino, Markus Reuther, and Thomas Schlechte has been elected among the 15 best papers of has been elected among the 15 best papers of the 6th ICROR RailTokyo2015. Dr. Thomas Schlechte was elected as a member of the board of IAROR.

MODAL RailLab auf der RailTokyo 2015
Die internationale Konferenz RailTokyo ist der wichtigste Treffpunkt für den wissenschaftlichen Austausch im Bereich des Operations Research für Eisenbahnsysteme. Die Konferenz wird alle zwei Jahre von der International Association of Railway Operations Research (IAROR) organisiert. Dieses Mal wurde sie vom 23.-26. März vom Chiba Institut für Technologie auf dem Tsudanuma Campus ausgerichtet. Das Forschungscampus MODAL RailLab war auf der Tagung mit zwei Artikeln, zwei Vorträgen und einem Tutorial vertreten. Der Artikel "Recent Success Stories on Optimization of Railway Systems: Rolling Stock Rotation Optimization" von Ralf Borndörfer, Torsten Klug, Leonardo Lamorgese, Carlo Mannino, Markus Reuther und Thomas Schlechte wurde unter die besten 15 Artikel der 6. ICROR RailTokyo2015 gewählt. Dr. Thomas Schlechte wurde in den Vorstand der IAROR gewählt.
